APPRENTICE / MENTEE - Mentoring Benefits
Mentoring is a bridge that supports an apprentice through successful transition from the training center to the job site. Mentoring promotes pride in workmanship, quality, and job satisfaction.
A mentee must be willing to take ownership of his/her future and education. This is accomplished by assigning yourself the task of listening and observing, having an inquisitive attitude, accepting constructive criticism, self assessment of progress, pride in workmanship, and associating productivity with personal satisfaction.
Mentors serve as role models not only for their technical expertise, but also for their work ethic and relationships with others. Mentors serve as “go to persons” when a mentee has a question.
